We firmly believe that a great menu should be uncomplicated, fresh and above all delicious. We source the finest Kalahari and Black Angus beef for our aged steak selection as well only the finest produce to suit all palates. We feature a light bar snack and children’s menu and our desserts are contemporary works of art with a taste to match.


The wine selection at The Publican has been expertly sourced to develop a list featuring the finest South Africa has to offer from the each of our wonderfully unique terroirs and to compliment every dish. With a wide selection of craft beers covering every style and a constantly changing selection on tap, beer drinkers are sure to be kept satisfied as well.


The heartbeat of The Publican is our desire to remain authentic, Our decor compliments the old Chicago style steakhouses, rich leather finishes and large double volume spaces set the scene for a warm and welcoming ambiance. We also feature a private dining section which seats 20 guests for your private affairs.


The Publican is headed up by the experienced duo of Neil Griffiths and Bartho Saayman. They are supported by Harry who manages the front of house operations, whilst head chef Michael and sous chef Danny keep the kitchen alive with their passion for fine cuisine.
